A soldier spends the weekend with an actress after being stood up by her friend. A young woman arrives in San Francisco's Chinatown from Hong Kong with the intention of marrying a rakish nightclub owner, unaware he is involved with one of his singers. Walter Denton had forged a letter threatening Mr. Conklin with dismissal for being "flagrantly dictatorial" in his disciplinary methods. Mr. Conklin was forcing himself to be meek and humble as a result. It turns out the shoe salesman was a millionaire gambler who had placed a bet with a expert shoemaker that he could find a pair of feet that would perfectly fit the custom made slippers. It so happens Miss Brooks is wearing a bathing suit underneath her regular clothes too. Miss Brooks teaches English at Madison High, rents a room from Mrs. Davis, gets rides to school with student Walter, fights with Principal Conklin, and tries to snag shy biology teacher Boynton. The only film made by Lute Productions, which was jointly owned by Eve Arden and writer-director Al Lewis. Miss Brooks simply tricks him into busting the wrong bust. Gale Gordon is the Principal, and his role is actually pretty toned down from all those episodes in "Lucy".
