I saw it originally in the theater and for years only the Laserdisc and VHS versions were available so I'm glad that it was released onto DVD. It became the stuff of do-it-yourself kits and a thousand movie soundtracks.

Brilliant in moments if also flawed, this is a fascinating chronicle of the man who revolutionized modern music with the world's first electronic instrument; impact on movie scores is one of the docu's best parts. I saw this at the time of release in the mid-nineties, and think it's an excellent documentary for anyone interested in this perhaps minor but I think very interesting instrument or pioneering electronic music.
