1954(昭和29)年に公開された「ゴジラ」を見ればわかる通り、怪獣映画は元々、社会派やホラー、戦争映画の要素をも併せ持った、大人のためのものだった。 An alien "policeman" arrives on Earth to apprehend a renegade of his own race who impregnates a woman with a potentially destructive mutant embryo. The aftermath of the Oxygen Destroyer brings forth Destoroyah, a beast intent on killing Godzilla, who is on the verge of a nuclear meltdown. Been a fan of Godzilla and i found two of the Gamera dvds in a local store for cheap so went on Amazon to get the rest of the last two series. Please try againIncluded with Shout! Für Fans dieses Genres ist der Film It hits the perfect blend of brutal destruction and horror, awesome Kaiju action, top notch effects, compelling human characters and story, and the perfect blend between disaster horror/SciFo science and mysticism that this sort of subject requires. I love the Godzilla movies as much as the next G-fan. It was at my childhood that I really enjoyed kaiju movies like Godzilla and Gamera that made such an impact as I marveled on how talented [and destructive] these movies can be. All Gamera wants to do is take on his old enemy, Gyaos, the giant prehistoric bird who has nested atop Tokyo Tower. THIS ONE, Gamera: Guardian of the Universe, was a bit tricky to purchase it was outrageous...until one person here on Amazon made an offer I couldn't refuse for $6 plus $3.99 for shipping & handling. Here's the original Japanese cut of GAMERA: GUARDIAN OF THE UNIVERSE, ripped from the Mill Creek BD Die DVD und der Film entsprechen voll meinen Erwartungen. With Jesse Ventura, Sven-Ole Thorsen, Damian Lee, Jerry Levitan. In a small Japanese village, a young woman discovers the means for her revenge, while Gyaos birds are sighted around the world and humankind debates Gamera's allegiance. Everything about them; from special effects, acting, direction to just plain storytelling; is far superior to anything Toho films have ever done with Godzilla. Out theJapanese version with English subtitles no notes on on the description very disappointed good movie anyways I don't want to listen to read in Japanese and read the subtitles A hibernating species of giant carnivorous birds is awakened on a Japanese island shortly after the military encounters an unidentified mass moving beneath the water off-shore.
It has more plot than most kaiju flicks, and has pretty good suits.

During WWII, a human heart taken from a certain lab in Europe (Dr. Frankenstein's) is kept in a Japanese lab, when it gets exposed to the radiation of the bombing of Hiroshima. A giant monster that emits a destructive ray from its back attacks Japan and takes on Gamera. The FX are good (for a japanese monster movie) but still behind american standars. It develops the theme that will continue with the next two instalments, and does a good job of convaying the many plot twists and new developments.
If you view it as what it is (namely, the first in a trilogy) then it is a pretty good first part. A group planning to build a resort hotel land on the island and discover it to be inhabited by giant... Another plus is that it is the only one of the trilogy that has aired on TV, albeit in a cropped and dubbed version.Looking for some great streaming picks?
