Chapter 1: Now Chapter Text. Backup voices sing, “I’ve been there, I know the way,” as Stipe growls contrarily, “Can’t get there from here.” The question is not only “How do we get there?” but “Where are we going?” And so it asks more questions than it answers. Just an OMG!I hadn't read steampunk before, but thanks to Hunter Jones I will again. What I thought might turn out to be a fun erotic romp set in Whitechapel London during the time of Jack the Ripper, wasn't that at all.
The characters were great. It was reworked into "I Believe", which was released on the following album A demo version of "When I Was Young" appears as "Throw Those Trolls Away" on the 25th Anniversary Edition of CD-Text data included on disc 2 of the 25th Anniversary Edition of the album. I have to admit I was not expecting the incredible ending that left me breathless for more and to ponder what exactly had I just read in one sitting, unable to put down till the final page. This is unique and captivating, an enjoyable read if you don't mind the graphic content. This was so unusual to me I don't even know how to describe it. This is such a stylized fable. The switching of Polly's speaking from using "me thinks" to "my dress" was inconsistent to her speech patterns. - "Fables Of The Reconstruction" on labels - "Fables of the" R.E.M. The author and editor (authoress and editoress?) Because R.E.M. for the sheer invention of it, voodoo, horror, zombies, erotica, I would give it five stars. She's changed Pierre's last name to Minxle. He has an odd voice, he mumbles and wails the lyrics through the microphone. Every sexual act imaginable is explored with equalHunter S Jones has delved into the dark side of Victorian London and created a zombie erotica the likes of which not even God could have imagined. Once both prostitutes are turned to the cold side of the undead they prey on their marks not just for sex but for sustenance that leaves a bloody trail of bodies.

The "A side" label bore the title The liner notes mention a song titled "When I Was Young" in the track listing, but it does not appear on the album. I can imagine the story being developed into a mini-series or movie. This is fast paced and takes you to foggy London for an erotic tale with supernatural influences. It was so much better! Fables of the Reconstruction R.E.M. decided to make noticeable changes to its style of music and recording habits, including a change in producer to Joe Boyd and in recording location to London, England.
